Sumthing Else Music Works to Release Halo Trilogy

Today Somthing Music Works sent word that they are releasing their Halo Trilogy: The Complete Halo Soundtracks and bonus DVD also included in the set is 4 preview tracks from the upcoming RTS Halo Wars game. The set sounds sweet and would make a great gift for any Halo fan. The set includes music from Martin O’Donnell and Co-Composer Michael Salvatori and is available two ways starting December 2nd Tomorrow. It’s been a hectic time with the holiday activities, food and the games time flies. I have yet another chance for something pretty cool. EA and EA Phenomic just kicked their new PC RTS card game BattleForge into the Beta stage and gave me a few beta keys to give away. How do you snag one of these you may ask? Cover Wrestlers Picked for WWE Legends of WrestleMania

THQ sent me over the cover of the upcoming WWE Legends of WrestleMania and the Wrestlers gracing the cover certainly fit the name. Hulk Hogan, The late Andre the Giant, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock share the cover. All are hall of famers or heading there one day and have left their mark in Wrestling. The game will also feature two Hall of famers doing the commentary Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart. Which should make it very interesting for wrestling fans I only hope the game is a little better than the last Legends of Wrestling title. It sounds like it will be and we will have more on the complete roster and other features soon.

Tor Books Announces The Cole Protocol by Tobias S. Buckell in Stores Today

Thor Books sent word that the new Halo book "The Cole Protocol" written by Tobias S. Buckell is now in stores. The last Halo book went to the New York Times best sellers list and this one is expected to as well. I would recommend this for any one that is a fan of the Halo series and with Christmas right around the corner it would make a great gift the soft cover book sells for $14.95 and has a cool cover.

Halo 3: Recon Gets Name Change to Halo 3: ODST

News from Microsoft is that the upcoming Halo 3: Recon has a new name. The new name is now Halo 3: ODST still confused why they kept the Halo 3 before it but it’s now the new name. We expect more news on this next week so stay tuned.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix now Available

Today gamers can download Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. The classic game has some updated graphics and is supposed to be one of the best looking arcade titles to date. While I am a fan of the series and the game the price is a little steep for this time of year. The price is 1200 Microsoft points they also have a new pinball table for Pinball FX with the theme and other downloads for Street Fighter fans.

Fable II Premium DLC Expected in Mid December

For fans of Fable II I just got word that new DLC is expected to hit the 2nd week of December. The DLC will be both free and Premium content the Premium content will cost 800 Microsoft points. The new DLC will open up the Knothole Island for added quests. The game has sold well and now gamers have a reason to start playing it again if they already beat the game.

Dead Space Demo Available Tomorrow

Just in time for Thanksgiving practice you’re curving skills on the Dead Space Demo. You have heard the buzz about the game now try it when it hits the XBL marketplace tomorrow. The demo also hits the Sony Store the same day and will hit Europe on the 27th. Download it and experience a bit of the game that has everyone talking.

Prince of Persia Goes Gold

Ubisoft sent word that Prince of Persia has gone gold and has a ship date of December 2nd. They also announced that gamers who pre-order the game will receive a free upgrade to the limited edition. Not a bad deal for the holidays the limited edition comes with the following items.

LIPS DLC Hits Marketplace Today

Microsoft sent word that there are new songs available to download for the game LIPS. Each song this week is 160 Microsoft points. They also sent next week’s list please keep in mind that the prices will vary from song to song. When you download a song you need to put in the game disc to see the content. They are planning on releasing Christmas songs and more DLC is planned. Make sure to check the marketplace for more content and song details.

First DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV Announced

Today Rockstar sent word that the first new episode to update Grand Theft Auto IV will hit the marketplace on February 17th 2009. The Lost and the Damned is the first new episode and another one is already slated soon after that. While a price has not been set it sounds like buying the new episode will also add new weapons and perhaps introduce new characters. I know fans of the series were wondering when Rockstar would release the first update. Stay tuned for more news on this as the date gets closer.

Wheelman Gets Global Ship Date

Midway games pass on the word that the new game Wheelman starring Vin Diesel is set. The global ship date is February 16th 2009. I know its a few months away but this game has received a lot of buzz. The game allows you to prove you have what it takes to be the ultimate wheelman and expectations are high for the upcoming title. Watch for more news on Wheelman coming soon.

Gears of War 2 NXE Themes Available on Marketplace

Well the NXE update arrived and for the most part it seemed to be an easy process. One thing I noticed right away was the fact the themes looked terrible with the new look of NXE. Six Okay sent word that two new Gears of War 2 themes are available they cost 250 Microsoft points and both look great. You can read about them over at the official website.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 XBS Giveaway is Coming!

Okay, here is the deal I like to have contests and give a chance for our members to win some swag. Swag is what we call promotional stuff or in this case free games! Command & Conquer 3 Red Alert hit Stores and I just got sent a few extra copies for the Xbox 360. My thanks to Aaron Kaufman the Community Manager for the hook up on the free copies I know he is busy but took time to send a few extra copies.

So you’ll notice it say’s coming soon one of the hardest things about having contests is trying to figure out a way to give them out. I could say the first few people to answer a question or Email me gets the copies but that has been done and really no fun. The game has an incredible cast and is getting great reviews. Tomb Raider: Underworld Ships Today in North America

It’s been awhile since there has been a new Tomb Raider game that had me interested. Today Eidos sent word that the latest adventure of Laura Croft Tomb Raider: Underworld has shipped to stores in North America. The game will reflect Laura’s personality and mix puzzle solving and combat in a way like no other game in the series. It also seems along with a new Model playing Laura the game will provide new high tech gear for her and new vehicles to drive. The title will also have new chapters to purchase closer to Christmas keeping the game fresh with new content. Pricing for this is not yet announced but I will post it as soon as I get the word on it. They are also going to introduce a new Character in Early 2009 via the downloadable chapters perhaps a way of introducing a new spin off? This is a huge release week and there are many games out there to pick from. I must say this one looks tempting and for long time fans I know they are going to want to play the newest adventure of Laura Croft.

Need for Speed: Undercover Roars Into Stores Today

For those waiting for the new Need for Speed: Undercover it has arrived in stores today. The game features some great looking girls and of course cars. Just remember get in outrun every one and don’t get noticed. Somehow I doubt the story will allow you to stay unnoticed for long. Featuring a brand new game engine and a new online chase mode this one is going to be good. The trailers I have seen have been incredible and I am certainly going to be getting this one.

Left for Dead Hits Stores Today

I posted about the demo and already called this the sleeper hit of the holiday season. Today Left for Dead hit stores the new Zombie/Survival game from Valve and published by EA. I personally can’t wait to get my hands on the full game and join up with my friends in the 4-player Co-Op mode. The game also has a single player mode and is bragging that no two games will ever play out the same way. This one is going to be a great game while rated M it’s sure to be a quick seller since the demo was an instant hit. Also the game has already received praise when shown off at E3 and Comic-Con this year. Please note depending on where you live some stores may only get their shipments a day later.
